Man Clubs Wife To Death

A man, Mr. Vahyala Tumba of Michika in Adamawa has clubbed his wife, Kwaramba, to death in front of their ward head following a misunderstanding.
Confirming the incident which occurred on Wednesday, the Adamawa Commissioner of Police, Mr. Aderele Shinaba said the deceased reported her husband to the ward head following a misunderstanding.
When the ward head invited the husband to his palace to settle the matter, “ the man on getting to the palace right in front of the ward head, hit his wife with a hoe and she died instantly.

“Upon noticing that his wife was dead, he stabbed himself with a knife and was rushed to the hospital where he is responding to treatment”, Shinaba said.
In another development, according to Shinaba, the police special anti-robbery squad engaged in a shoot out with a gang of armed robbers terrorising people along Mayo-Belwa-Zing road.
Three of the suspects were killed while three AK 47 rifles, four magazines and 205 rounds of ammunition were recovered in the operation.
The commissioner lauded the renowned local hunter, Alhaji Ali Kwara for his active support toward the success of the operation.
He also confirmed the arrest of one Babbada Doffi of Sangotti village in Toungo Local Government Area for alleged murder of a 52-year-old man whose head was found in the suspect’s house.
