I Am Not Like Mercy Johnson - Mercy Johnson Look A Like

The name Kiera Hewatch may not strike a chord, but the name Mercy Johnson would surely tear or break the chord. Kiera Hewatch was the actress that starred in the first but adjudged failed Lagos state futuristic film, Kajola.

Kiera recently starred alongside with Stella Damasus in the movie that has generated controversies of being the exact story of Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson’s wedding wahala, Two Brides And A Baby, where she acted as the lead character.

She has been having problems with being described and said be like Mercy Johnson by some Nollywood followers and lovers.

Kiera is an actress that has come out from the disappointment of Kajola and moved forward in her growing acting career from just being an actress to being a make-believe queen, just as Mercy, who she is compared with, is.

A critical look at Kiera shows some Mercy Johnson’s traits. Her acting skills, especially with her body movements when acting and her gesticulations; her facial looks (oval), skin colour (chocolate), body size, her posture when standing, and so on.

In a recent chat with NFC, when asked of her reaction to
being said to be a look alike of Mercy, this sultry actress said, “I am different, my name is Kiera, I don’t like or want people to refer me as that girl that looks like Mercy Johnson.”

She further stated, “Please stop talking about the fact that I look like Mercy Johnson. My name is Kiera Hewatch, and it is very simple to pronounce. I don’t care what people say about Mercy, she is a fantastic actress, and I want to work with her.”

Though not new in the play-acting world, as she has been in an African Magic’s sit-com, Disclosure, but she disclosed that she is in the industry to take her rightful place, which is the top.

On if the comparison could help boost her career, she posited, “It might, then again, it might not. Because, there are some people who like Mercy, and there are some who don’t. So, if the people who like her take to me, fantastic, but what happens to those who don’t like her? Automatically, they might decide not to like me, it is in both ways.”
