Charles Ikeji, 40, has been remanded in prison custody for raping his five-year-old daughter and his eight-year-old house maid.
At an Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada, on Wednesday, Ikeji pleaded guilty to the crimes.
The police prosecutor, Usman Omale, said the case was reported at the
police station in Kuje by the suspect's wife.
He said that as a result of the act, the daughter sustained injuries in
her private part and was taken to Kuje General Hospital for treatment. Omale said that during police investigation, Ikeji confessed committing
the crime, adding that the offence is contrary to the provisions of
Section 282 of the Penal Code.
